I have never seen so much hot pink!
Volunteers gathered at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center for a luncheon and further inspiration to kick off the Day of Caring.Six volunteers from the office attended the luncheon and volunteered for the project. Our team consisted of Mike Deal, Jason Seamans, Lori Iverson, Bobbie Nelson, Kelli Noland, and Julie Bennett.
Jason Seamans being a United Way Board Member and our project leader did an excellent job selecting our project for the day. We enjoyed the beautiful day clearing weeds, spreading mulch, and removing volunteer trees from Rapid City Garden Club’s rose garden behind the Canyon Lake Senior Center. Although many of us walked away bleeding from the thorns, we all agree it was well worth it.
We are thankful and fortunate to work for a Company that encourages community involvement. Many thanks to Gil and Clark for allowing us the time away to participate and get our hands dirty and to everyone that contributes to the United Way! Your generosity does make a difference and is greatly appreciated! Your investment helps solve some of the most pressing issues in the most effective, efficient ways. Together, we are achieving the impossible. From increasing the number of families in stable housing to keeping seniors active and independent, your contribution to United Way strengthens our community.
