Bowl for Kids Sake 2015

Event Details

On Saturday May 2nd at Robbinsdale Lanes in Rapid City Bowlers came from all over the Black Hills to Bowl for Kids’ Sake. Common Cents Team members were ready to show off their bowling skills. The scores weren’t great, but the fundraising was AWESOME. We raised a lot of money for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. The entire Team at Common Cents came through once again collecting pledges totaling $31,490. I was both impressed and grateful for everyone’s participation and outstanding pledge totals. It was quite satisfying to witness what a team can accomplish when we get behind a great program like the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.

Bell Fourche will receive top honors with the largest pledge total of $4045. Gillette came in a very close 2nd raising $4032 followed by Lead at $3289, then LaCrosse at $3122. Moyle Office, Sturgis, and Spearfish each raised over $2000 per location. Raising close to $2000 in pledges was Wall and Canyon Lake respectively. You should all be very proud of the monies raised, this fundraiser alone accounts for 1/3 of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Black Hills entire yearly budget! Your hard work does have a huge impact in our community and surrounding areas.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States. They have been the leader in one-to-one youth services for more than a century, developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people. Big Brothers Big Sisters mentors children, ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country - including yours.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters Mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with mentors that have a measurable impact on youth.

It is my pleasure to be a part of this team.
